OVERCOMING SLOPPY WORK👀

In the construction industry it always seems the builder or the client will scrimp on the finish which blows my mind! 🤯

Imagine spending sometimes hundreds of thousands of pounds on a project and then scrimping on the finish that eveyone sees. People may not realise but in doing so this can cost you more if you ever want it done properly later on. Because recrifying poor workmanship can end up costing you double because we have to undo it all and start again which means your paying twice. Our belief here JH Decorating is do something properly the first time.

OUR HAND BRUSHED FINISH ✋🖌️

We were called in by this client to do remedial work after their previous decorator butchered the place and were given the task of sorting out this entrance door & architrave. Ever since getting into spraying we rarely finish our woodwork by hand because you just cannot beat that sprayed film finish but on this occasion we were unable due to logistics able to do so which gave me a nice opportunity to see if I still had it!

Kitchen door transformation in 1 minute and 14 seconds ✨🕰️👌

Here is an almost full process of what goes into my wooden door transformation ! There was more tack clothing and a few extra fills between coats that I haven’t included for video purposes but you should get drift! Spraying kitchen isn’t just chucking a bit of paint about it’s a deep tedious process that needs to be carried out correctly to ensure not only a good finish but a long lasting product.

ON SITE SPRAYING 🔥💪🏼

We show lots of videos of what goes on in the workshop but today I thought I’d show you what’s been happening on site.

When we spray you kitchen it is done in two phases.

Phase 1:
•Remove doors take the back to the workshop
•Clean, sand, fill and prepare
•Spray

Phase 2:
•We come to site thoroughly protect all your surfaces
•Clean, sand, fill, caulk and prepare
•Respray your carcass
•Refit doors
•Remove rubbish & clear site
