Can't resist a 37 . Been busy tonight with a little quick project just to keep my hand in on the weathering in between driving jobs.

Bachmann Class 37 - 37043 Loch Lomand on BR large logo blue has had a medium to heavy weathering session with us. A mixture of oil paint and air brushing has gone on to the model and then added the detailing on one end of the model and a Knuckle coupling to the other as per the customers request.

Weathering rescue mission accomplished! 🎉

We swooped in to save this adorable Accurascale bluebell loco from a previous weathering catastrophe (no shade, other company 😜). The owner was on the brink of tears, and we were all, 'Hey, don't worry, we got this!' So, we rolled up our sleeves, added some TLC, and voilà!

This little beauty's got a fresh new look, complete with coal, crew, and routing discs. Okay, okay, we did have a minor mishap - those teeny numbers on the front? Yeah, they made a break for it during cleaning 🤦‍♂️. BUT, we got replacements, and now it's looking sharp! The customer wanted a lighter weathering, and we delivered.

All's well that ends well, right? 😊

So what's the latest news at Garden Railway weathering.... Well you're about to find out.

For 2026 GRW will be introducing some new services along with some slight changes to our booking system, our services we provide you and unfortunately a small price increase.

So the newest service we are offering for 2026 is going to be OO gauge, N gauge and TT gauge. We will offer all the extras included in our other gauges.

We are now also introducing a new booking system which will require a £20 non refundable deposit but don't worry, this £20 will be taken off the final cost of the weathering.

As mentioned every year we do put our prices up but only by a small amount, this is to cover costs and hours spent on the models we weather, however we will be including a lot more detailing services which will be included in the price.

Finally, we are now offering DCC fitting and programming services. As an ex DCC chip fitted with a retailer in the forest of dean, I wish to extend these services to all our customers new and existing.

Hello everyone, Happy December. 😊

Just a quick update before a bigger update later this weekend.

Here are some of the recent December projects I've been working on whilst I've had some time off from lorry driving.

Hornby peckett - This is having a total repaint and lining job.

16mm diesel loco kit - this is being painted into a rather lovely green and then having a light weathering done.

A roundhouse Harlec castle also having a light weathering applied to it.

All items posted are still having work done to them so please remember this, these are not the finished products.

Third and finally another 16mm kit this time having a full paint job into a famous brewery company purple. I do love the color.

The bigger update will be either happening tonight or Sunday, so follow for more and watch this space.

All hail the king 👑 Well King George V to be exact.

Just finished and starting off on a small project for a good friend .

We've been asked to recreate the famous Bulmers train from Herefordshire.

We started off with revamping a Hornby King Class, giving it a new number, name plates, crew and coal. The works! We've even added lamps and headboards with the Cathedral express.

In the background we are currently repainting Hornby Pullman coaches to match the real ones back in the day.

Happy Sunday everyone. Having a decal Sunday today. A mixture of gauges today, Dapol O gauge 08 and Dog fish having fresh decals applied before Weathering.

Also a Hornby King Class getting some more attention with some Fox's Transfers.

Whilst all this dries I will be cracking on with my layout.

Good morning everyone. First of all, I apologize for the absolute silence from myself recently. A lot has been going on personally with my job. Luckily getting back into normality now.

Second thing is G.R.W are now currently expanding into OO gauge and we are currently working on a few projects already.

Earl class which is having a light weathering King class which is having a strip down and redo, currently turning into King George V and finally is this Pullman which is going to be the start of a bigger project for our customer.
