Good evening all 👋🏻 I’ve been so busy lately it’s hard to keep up to posting! I have been repointing (my favourite!!), building various fences, fitting loft hatches, blocking up doors, working in a vets…and so on! The jobs are always so varied and that’s what I love about going to work!

Good evening all 🫡

I have been up to all sorts lately. Carrying out some working at Veterinary Practices, Care Homes and private clients too.

Have you ever seen a pocket door system? It takes up minimal room if you prefer a neater aesthetic or to save space in small or tight areas. It is built into a cavity rather than it swinging outward. Below is one that myself and Mick have built in a Veterinary Practice recently. It can be closed when required and will ask as another form of security to ensure no escapees.

It was finished in matching paint and then Simpson Fix-It e added so the floor can be mopped without water seeping under the ‘false wall’.

Roof Repairs 🔨

Last week this roof had some TLC. The felt was replaced due to the old felt being in poor condition, it was breaking down and leaking inside the building.
The slate tiles were also replaced due to the previous ones also being in poor condition with cracks etc.

The purpose of the felt is to act as a water barrier and to protect the roof against the elements, it is breathable to allow moisture from inside to escape without letting moisture in from the outside. Felt provides an extra layer of thermal insulation to help the property stay warmer in winter and cooler in summer plus many more benefits.
