Michael did a great job, he listened to what I wanted, delivered on the spec, and spent time on getting the detail just right. I’m really pleased with the end result. Bespoke handmade garden gate using the Shou Sugi Ban method. Japanese method of treating wood with charring bringing out the natural grains whilst preserving the wood, finished with oil or wax. Tradition dating back to 18th century Japan. Looking forward to doing more with this method. If you have any ideas using this method please get in touch.
