Phase 2 Complete at Manchester University 🎓

Another successful project delivered for Manchester University.

We’ve now completed Phase 2 from the initial excavation and civils works to laying the binder and now the laying 525m² of 10mm wearing course, all hand laid to ensure a high-quality finish and attention to detail throughout the works.
A great testament to the standard of our work is that Phase 1 was completed to such a high standard that we were invited back to deliver Phase 2. Repeat business is always the best compliment.

Commercial resurfacing project completed in Freckleton for another valued client.

The existing failed tarmac surface was fully excavated and removed from site using our excavator and grab wagon service, allowing the area to be properly prepared from the ground up. Our team then re-formed the levels to improve the overall profile and drainage before installing a new hand-laid carriageway surface, delivering a durable and professional finish suitable for regular vehicle traffic.

Another high-quality transformation completed efficiently and safely by the FT Surfacing team from preparation through to final surfacing.

FT Surfacing Ltd recently completed a full resurfacing project on a private residential driveway in Thornthwaite, Keswick, involving the hand lay installation of approximately 40 tonnes of 6mm SMA asphalt.

Works were carried out over two days:

• Day 1 – Preparation works completed, existing edges trimmed and tie-ins cut to ensure clean transitions and levels throughout the site.
• Day 2 – Installation of 40 tonnes of 6mm SMA by our experienced hand lay surfacing team.

Despite the challenging layout and restricted working areas, the project was completed efficiently and to a high standard, delivering a smooth, durable and visually impressive finish for the client.

A great effort from the entire FT Surfacing hand lay gang on this one — quality workmanship, teamwork and attention to detail from start to finish.
