GRASS KING- Spring Lawn treatments & Lawn Renovations
BOOK NOW TO AVOID DISSAPOINTMENT
After finally making it through another cold wet winter your lawn will require an early boost to help combat what the spring and summer has to throw at it!
First priority list is feeding the grass, and feeding the right lawn food at the right time will produce a lawn to boast about.
A good feed with a lawn fertiliser, not only makes the grass greener, but it makes it grow thicker and increases its strength, vigour and health so it is more robust and better equipped to compete with w**ds, moss and other weather-related stresses. In spring, the best results are achieved by using a granular feed that supplies a regular amount of nutrients over several weeks.
We are now taking bookings ready for the early spring (Mid March dependent on weather) to apply our range of spring fertilizers and cost from as little as £10 for an application (Dependent on size of lawn)
Lawn Renovation & Repair:
Spring is also the perfect time to repair that worn out lawn. CJ Garden services have rescued even the most damaged lawns using our tried and tested 6 step repair plan:
Grass king Services – Our 6 Steps to repair an ugly lawn!
1. Hollow tine aeration – Hollow tine aeration is a mechanical means of removing cores of soil from your lawn to allow oxygen, nutrients and water to pe*****te through to the root zone of the grass. It is also an excellent way of reducing compaction used by foot traffic and provides an ideal seed bed. We will (if required) aerate your lawn before scarification to give your new lawn the first of the boosts its going to need! Next step….
2. Scarification – Scarification is a mechanical means of removing dead grass or ‘Thatch’ as its known from your lawn, scarifying is also used to removed dead moss after iron treatments. Thatch is caused by a build up of dead plant matter and removing it will allow the healthy grass plant to grow and thicken out …. Next Step
3. Thatch Removal – Once we have scarified your lawn we will clear up and remove the piles of dead thatch using blowers and rakes. Once that’s done, we can move on to the next step….
4. Pre seed fertilizer & Seeding – Now we have removed all that thatch and aerated your lawn we are ready to ‘Overseed’. Overseeding your now rather bare looking lawn will be the key step to that lush, green lawn you always dreamt of! Firstly, we will apply a pre seed fertilizer, this is a high phosphate fertilizer to give your seed bed the perfect growing conditions. We will then apply the seed. We will select a seed that best compliments your particular lawn, there are many factors that we will consider before applying, one for example would be light conditions
5. Top Dressing - Topdressing is used following seeding, overseeding or aerating to protect the developing plants from desiccation during the establishment process. It also can be used to level uneven lawns or fill any divots in the lawn. We will apply the top dressing following the seeding process and level out using drag mats to ensure an even finish.
6. Final Step! – We will now give your newly renovated lawn a watering and have a good clean up before handing it back over to you! You will be given a new lawn care sheet that will explain how and when to water your newly seeded lawn. We also include 2 FREE remedial visits into the cost of renovation, this is to check on seed progress or to add more seed if required.
