Something a bit different this morning in Coalville 😁
Hip ridge tiles were all loose due to weathering causing the mortar to break up.

🔷️ Ridges all removed
🔶️ Old mortar removed and tiles all cleaned up
🔷️ Ridges all rebed back onto fresh mortar and pointed up

Iv really got to remember to take before pictures (used the one the customer sent) 🤣 but on the plus side another happy customer 😁

Back to Burbage today to do a load of prep work on a bedroom for a past customer...

🔷️ Wallpaper stripped from 3 walls
🔶️ Woodchip removed from Chimney wall and ceiling
🔷️ Remaining coving removed from round the ceiling on 3 walls
🔶️ Wall channelled and double socket recessed into the wall (left over socket from the built in wardrobes that we previously removed)
🔷️ Carpet, underlay and Grippers removed
🔶️ Bay window drawer unit dismantled and removed
🔷️️ All holes filled in

Will be back there next week to fit skirting to patch back in from where the wardrobes and drawers were and then the room is ready for the customer to decorate 👍

Quick callout job this morning for a past customer.
Shed had felt the wrath (no pun intended) of storm Gerrit and the top section of roof felt had lifted straight off and folded itself down the front.

🔷️ Felt assessed to ensure it had no major tears or holes and could be refitted
🔶️ Felt folded back into place
🔷️ Tacked back into place with new clout nails (with a few extras for added strength)

Few hours spent in Burbage removing some fitted wardrobes for a some lovely new customers 🙂

🔷️ Wardrobes removed and broken down
🔶️ Studwork infill and coving removed
🔷️ Plug socket that was built into the wardrobe removed and the supply cable repurposed into a new socket fitted to the wall.

That sure has freed up a lot of space in the room and it is now ready for the next stage of the renovation 🙂

Unfortunately didnt get an actual picture of the wardrobe prior to demolition so have added the one that the customer sent over 🙂

Couple of days spent back in Burbage finishing the bedroom renovation that i started.

🔷️Fitted wardrobes, shelves, coving and laminate flooring removed
🔶️Stair ceiling boxed in
🔷️Ceiling and box skimmed by JM.Plastering
🔶️Aerial cable relocated and installed into a socket (much better finish than a cable hanging out of the wall)
🔷️️Walls and ceiling painted in Dulux silk White (ceiling) and Egyptian Cotton (walls)
🔶️️New 12mm laminate flooring, skirting and blind fitted
🔷️️Skirting and Window sill glossed
🔶️Plug sockets, light switch and light pendant replaced with new white fittings

Loving the transformation of this room 🙂
