PLANNING APPROVAL >>

We are pleased to announce that we recently obtained full planning permission from Calderdale Council for this unique extension in Brighouse.

An existing poor-quality extension will be demolished to make way for this purpose-built home pottery studio for the client complete with a Kiln room.

Charred vertical timber boarding and oak features are used to contrast and compliment this period Victorian property.

NEW BUILD, SHEFFIELD >>

Introducing natural light and openness to the typical Arts and Craft style, our designs neither slavishly followed this style nor starkly juxtaposed it with white boxes or glazing elements. Instead a third way was found which was both fresh and still quite simple but showed a softer more crafted aesthetic design. With our wealth of knowledge and experience using traditional stone constructions and detailing we were able to bring a sure but light touch to this project.

Working collaboratively with our clients and builders and adopting a very enquiring approach we brought new building technologies to the project. Creating a stunning Arts and Crafts house with light filled, versatile living spaces and significantly reduced energy consumption.

PLANNING APPROVAL >>

Planning approval obtained for an earth sheltered extension at the Grade II Listed Mill Farm, providing a demonstration kitchen to host cooking events and entertainment for the popular Cannon Hall Farm youtube channel.

The thoughtfully designed extension seamlessly integrates with the surrounding landscape, with the incorporation of a vibrant green roof minimising the visual impact. The exposed oak framed structure provides a functional overhang , allowing a sheltered area for alfresco dining. The design prioritises the beauty of the host dwelling by considering the overall massing, scale and materiality of the extension, ensuring the original dwelling remains the main focus.

Creating a stunning new kitchen where they can continue to create recipes like those in the recently published cookery book!

A pleasure to be working with Thongsbridge Cricket Club again on their phase three development project. This time, we’re enhancing the popular ‘Pavilion’ by utilising part of the outdoor terrace to create a versatile venue space that can be enjoyed year-round.

The design features a tapered wrap-around that will help to give the extension its own identity, whilst providing additional shelter for visitors underneath its overhang. Curtain wall glazing will seamlessly connect the extension with the outdoor terrace and stunning views across the cricket grounds.

Planning Approval >>

Approval obtained for an extension to the popular Kingfisher fish and chip restaurant on Denby Dale Road in Wakefield. The proposal will enable a more efficient running of this successful business by incorporating an extension to the takeaway, outdoor seating pods, new bin store and car parking.

We worked closely with the local planning authority to achieve the best outcome for this prominent location and building of local importance.

This expansion will not only enhance the efficiency of this thriving business but also helps to grow a more vibrant community and stronger future.
