🌧️ Heavy rain on Wednesday evening led to an unexpected call-out from a landlord after water ingress caused all the electrics to trip! 🤪

Thankfully, after a thorough inspection and clean-up, the damage was limited to a fan motor and capacitor. Everything else was saved and safely restored. 👍

Although this property isn’t in a typical flood-risk area, it’s a reminder that extreme weather can affect anyone. It’s definitely got us thinking about flood protection and preventative measures for the future.

Strong smell of oil at a customer’s property? That’s never something to ignore 🚨

We were called out after the customer noticed a strong oil smell around the property. After investigating, we found the filter bowl by the tank was leaking and causing the issue.

First step was to safely isolate the supply and clean up the spilled oil using spill kits to make sure everything was left safe and secure. We then ordered the required replacement parts and returned the very next day to get everything sorted 🔧

New parts fitted, oil lines vented, and both boilers fed by this tank fully tested and running perfectly again ✅

Another safe system, no more leaks, and one very relieved customer 👍

If you ever notice the smell of oil around your tank or boiler, don’t leave it—get it checked before it becomes a bigger problem.

First job of the week and a busy one to kick things off 💪

Customer called first thing Monday morning after their oil boiler started smoking and set the CO alarm off — never something to ignore 🚨

They had a go at cleaning it themselves, but unfortunately that made things worse. We carried out a full strip down, gave it a thorough clean, replaced the necessary parts, and got everything set up safely and running as it should again 🔧

Another safe system and another happy customer 👍

Another happy customer and a boiler saved 👍🔥

This customer had previously been told their boiler was beyond economical repair… but after taking a proper look, we knew it was worth investigating further.

With just a couple of hundred pounds spent on the right parts and repairs, we’ve got it back up and running safely and efficiently – ready to last for many more years.

It just goes to show, it’s always worth getting a second opinion before committing to a costly replacement 💭

Regular servicing is a must for modern gas boilers 🔧🔥

Not only does it keep your system running efficiently, but more importantly, it ensures everything is safe.

This boiler we attended had developed a fault where the burner gasket had failed. This was caused by heat build-up due to a faulty expansion vessel – something that could have led to bigger (and more expensive) problems if left unchecked.

We replaced the necessary parts to get everything back to safe working order and carried out a full service to make sure the system is running efficiently again 👍

A simple service can prevent costly breakdowns and keep your boiler performing at its best.

Another caravan boiler replacement completed for a customer 🔧🔥

Unfortunately, this one was beyond economical repair. We always aim to fix boilers where possible, but in this case the unit had been leaking down the vertical flue, causing significant damage. The combustion chamber had rusted, the fan had corroded and failed, and the main heat exchanger was also badly affected. With parts alone exceeding £1000, replacement was the most sensible option.

We installed a brand new Glow-worm boiler along with a vertical flue, Pro force controls, and a system filter. The system was then refilled with antifreeze to keep everything protected and running efficiently.
