Plaserting in well under way on the top floor of our project in north Leeds.

With the sloped ceiling and various features it's a bit trickeier than your normal rooms to plaster.

We have been looking at some options for the remodelling of the ground floor to a residential property in Leeds.

The client felt they had enough space in the house but it didn't work for how they wanted to live.

We have provided 3 initial layout options ranging from minimal changes to more significant.

For me there is a clear prference but which would you prefer?

We have been working on the designs for extending a remodelling a small bungalow in Leeds.

The client is a wheelchair user and needs the property to work for her specific needs.

We have extended to the rear, converted the garage and remodelled the interior layout. Giving the client the accommodation required within this modest sized home.

The proposed works are all under permitted devlopment rights and so we can swfityly move onto the technical drawings for the project.

We will soon be starting on site for a small kitchen extension to a detached house near Knottingley.

When producing information required to build the extension you need more than simple planning drawings.

Detailed technical designs and specifications are required to ensure the client knows exactly what they are getting (down to the positions of sockets etc) and there is no confusion what the builder is required to provide.

Spending a bit more time (& money) getting the details right before any works start means a much smoother build.

The info in this video is an example of the type of information we produce for a small extension project. Every project is differnet and requires thought over what is required.

We have just started working on a project to convert a church to a residential property.

When we visited the building, Tom (architectural technologist at Studio J) is a bell ringer and so couldn’t resist having a go in the bell tower!

Looking forward to getting into the designs. It will be a truly unique home when finished.

And yes the bells will be retained!

We've been looking at some initial design options for a house extension.

Our client is not happy with their current kitchen-diner as it is propotionally very long and thin. They are wanting an extension and remodelling of the current layout to improve kitchen and also creating addional space for a utility and home office.

We have provided 3 initial design ideas for how we could extend and remodel their property.

Following discussions with the client we will develop these initial designs into to planning level drawings.

Which option do you like?
