It’s certainly feeling very hot during this heatwave! ☀️🥵

Our onsite team have been taking some respite in the hall, keeping cool while enjoying a range of recreation activities including puzzles, card making, colouring, and listening to or watching videos.

Meanwhile, our offsite team are doing their best to stay cool and hydrated as they continue their gardening contract work in these challenging temperatures. 🌿💧

A big well done to everyone for keeping going and looking after one another in the heat! ☀️

With a lovely weekend forecast ahead 🌞 why not pop down today and pick up some plants to brighten your garden for the Bank Holiday weekend! Open today until 3pm.

Please note that we will be closed Bank Holiday Monday.

We will be back open as usual on Tuesday at 9:30am 💚

After all the rain, it's lovely to see some sunshine at the Centre today.

The on-site team have been hard at work as always, keeping busy stocking up the tunnels and making sure everything is looking its best for our visitors 🌺🌱

New week, new staff member to meet at The New Blendworth Centre 💚

Today we’re introducing Sarah, one of our Supervisors, who many of our customers will also see serving in the shop 🌸

🌱 How long have you worked at the Centre?
Almost 19 years

💚 Favourite thing about working here:
Plants and people

🌿 What does your average day look like?
Sowing seeds, potting up plants, weeding and topdressing, plus helping with some of our crafting projects

🍽️ Favourite food: Fish pie

🌼 Interests outside of work: Gardening, dogs, arts and crafts

Sarah is a huge part of the team and brings so much knowledge, care and experience to everything she does 💚

Yesterday at the New Blendworth Centre 💚

Our service users enjoyed a lovely day filled with smiles, games, puzzles, and colouring during recreation time, alongside some great teamwork around the centre. Everyone also helped with tidying the tunnels and making improvements in the nursery area 🌿

A really positive day with plenty of creativity, connection, and pride in our shared space 💚
