Lots of ideas/plans for this front garden, but first things first - a little crabapple tree 💗🌳🌸 This variety will keep its small habit, but will still produce spring flowers and autumn berries loved by wildlife 🐦‍⬛🐝🐛

So much wood/jelly ear and other bits and bobs in the lee of the South Downs today. I'll dry it, but it won't last long! 🍽🍽🍽 The fresh herbs made nice tea too👌🏻

It's still all happening in winter, a very underrated season imo 😊

Slides:

1. Woodland inspiration. Hart's tongue fern in full bloom - perfect for any size garden.

2. Outdoor carpentry. Shortening reclaimed scaffold boards outside, a stormy sea the perfect location.

3. Hedge trimming mulch. Laying non-invasive green waste over all the bare soil patches, for all round soil nourishment.

4. Raised beds. Replacing rotten raised beds with reclaimed scaffold boards.

5. Wild carrot winter beauty. There's always time to appreciate this one.

6. Growing herbs. Mint still in leaf and ready to go when spring arrives.

7. Mixed native hedge. Ideal for the largest or smallest of boundaries.

8. Creating ponds. Lots of buckets needed.

9. More countryside inspiration. Love this log pile boundary.

10. Creating fire pit area. All year sitting/being areas are the best.

Beautiful winter sun vibes☀️ And Hart's tongue and scaly male ferns looking really winter good in the forest this weekend! 🌿 I have planted them in pretty much every wildlife garden I have created 💚
