Oh Balls!!

More fine trimming required by a customer who adores her buxus balls as well she should as they are amazing mature specimens.

Both parties were very pleased with the results, I am happy to report.

Just love this aspect of my work in particular.

So...I arrived at a customers house today to make their lawns look fab which I did.

On leaving I heard a faint noise that sounded like help! help!I turned to my left and saw where the noise was coming from..it was these little fellas crying out for a hair cut 🤔

90 minutes later and all I could hear was singing!!

Client is on holiday...hope they like them!😅

Really enjoy the topiary aspect of my job.

Ivy Ivy and a little more Ivy!! My customer wanted me to try and clear this evasive Ivy covering an entrance wall, that hasn't been seen in decades...
Leave it to me!!

Splendid results so far with this lovely lawn.

A change of direction helps aid a more even upward growth thus promoting greater airflow, less pathogens and aiding photosynthesis.

Also, Hoping to treat with a new RHS approved product soon once trialed, for even lusher grass and less moss and thatch.

And our wonderfully majestic Castle Hill in the foreground purveying all that is west Yorkshire.

So.. I was asked to research, order, collect, plan, mark out and plant a green screen for one of my wonderful customers.

I went with thuja conifer in the end due to its proximity to the boundary wall, root depth, growth speed and overall effect.
Laurels were in the mix but can omit a poison which may be harmful to pets ect.

After a fair amount of toil after discovering a hard core rock layer and an abundance of historic tree roots, I opted or hiring a big hole digger (shoulders are still twitching lol)

A good pre soak, some bonemeal root feed and gentle tease and pat down and hey presto the job is complete.

Up in the beautiful Marsden hills tackling a stubborn eyesore that a customer wanted rid of.

With top notch tools and a bit of perseverance stage one complete.

Some jobs need should we say a more robust approach 😁

I recently had the pleasure of being asked to plant out these fabulous laural bushes.

10 in all, to create a discreet screen for colour and ultimately the client wanted an element of privacy.

If maintained regularly, these will look perfect when they bush out and and fill the space.

With root feed, a few good handfuls of peat free compost and a good watering before and after in situ to give them the best chance of survival.

Okay okay I know, you are more than likely thinking ITS STILL WINTER, well, you are right!! But there are still lots of jobs to do to start getting ahead of the rush with regards to your outdoor spaces.

From clearing driveways and patios of fallen leaves to planting and transplanting perennials, bushes and hedges.
Edging lawns, clearing messy boarders and pruning roses ect...
