We've topped up the cooler with fresh cool water for your dogs. Birdbaths cleaned and topped up and now Bernie has sloped off for some much needed TLC at Jubilee Pool ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŒž

Our Black Mondo Grass (Ophiopogon planiscapus 'Nigrescens') known for its striking, near-black, strappy leaves and delicate purple flowers.
This evergreen perennial thrives in sunny or shady spots and works well as a ground cover or in planters. It is considered a tough, low-maintenance plant that is fully hardy in many climates.

It's the first time its flowered at Tehidy Rose Garden

โ˜†โ—‡โ˜†PLEASE SHAREโ˜†โ—‡โ˜†

The meadow to the Rangers Station from the North Cliffs side is in use by nesting skylarks right now. They nest on the ground so their chicks are extremely vulnerable to being trampled by dogs and walkers.
PLEASE stick to the paths and keep dogs on a short lead if accessing the meadow.

Thank-you for your consideration.

With this beautiful ๐Ÿฅต humid weather we want to make sure our dog walking rose garden users can safely hydrate their pooches๐Ÿถ So we've popped a cool box full of fresh bottles of water at the rose garden today. It should help to keep our water cool for dogs.
We've also cleaned out and disinfected the water bowls and bird baths ๐Ÿฆ

The netting behind the top bench is to train and support our climbing roses on so they don't hang down on people sitting on the bench ๐ŸŒนWe hope it doesn't look too intrusive on the eye.

And we've added a log pile beside the container pond too this week, and cleared the red campions
( Silene dioica) from one of the beds to make way for new perennial plants going in soon. And we've cleared our culvert so the bottom of the garden stays free of puddles.

Good evening fans and Happy Fri-YAY!
Its been incredibly lovely to have so many new followers both online here and in person at the garden and from local businesses. Thanks for your support, lovely chats, doggy fuss and barks ( Yes Milo, we mean you! ๐Ÿ˜‰ IYKYK!)

We are getting our new summer posters up on the main notice boards next week, and at the rose garden. Our contact details are on there if anyone want to get involved in any way or even share our group, that would be great.

Have a lovely weekend ๐Ÿค— and keep your eyes peeled at the rose garden for caterpillars and fairies ( We mean butterflies, theres no such thing as ๐Ÿงšโ€โ™‚๏ธ!!)
and we'll see you soon!

Hiya! I did a live stream this morning, unfortunately our signal is shocking at the rose garden so it cuts in and out and the quality of the video picture is quite pixelated. I hope you saw our ๐Ÿ˜ caterpillars though! ๐Ÿฆ‹

At the end of a very wet week , and even though we didn't all meet up this week due to weather and other issues, I just wanted to thank all of our volunteers for all the hours, plants, water, effort, camaraderie and care we've shared whilst at Tehidy Rose Garden.
It is amazing what a team we've all become ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ™Œ

Thank-you all for your support and interactions last week. Both online and in person at Tehidy Rose Garden. Its been a real eye opener as to just how many supporters we have and how many visitors in person. You and the sunshine really do make all the difference when we have a bit of a rubbish week.
Please keep being your lovely , kind , caring and compassionate selves. And thanks for turning my frowns upside-down ๐Ÿ’“
