My journey into shoe making started years ago when I was in my early 20’s, it’s not until now at 35 years of age that I’ve been able to fully open the door & walk into it. Over 15 years of shoe reconstruction and over 7,500 repairs in the past 5 years, I’ve watched, looked and learnt all the while gathering a portfolio in my mind from close study of shoe constructions & anatomy. In some ways I can look at the demands of 2020 & the slowing of new repair demand in a positive light, it enabled me to catch up on a back log of work but also take the steps into shoe making. I’m still very new to making and still have much to learn but I’m surrounded by a plethora of creative people that I’m privileged to bounce ideas off of. I’m confident in my future as a shoe maker but also aware it won’t be easy and there will be many challenges to face, however with an already filling order book for 2021 I’m ready to knuckle down and press on. I will be making both women and men’s shoes and I am excited to express my creativity in new ways whilst bringing the imaginations of clients to life through the medium of footwear. Our feet carry us on our journeys through life, our feet will step with us into the new year so for me it’s about dressing your feet in a way that represents you best. I’d like to take the opportunity to wish you all a very happy new year and I hope 2021 is good to you. I hope we can connect and the new year will see you walking taller, walking prouder and possibly in a pair of my handmade custom shoes. 🥂 heres to new connections, new adventures and new horizons! Man it’s been a hard 5 years owning this company but at last it’s starting to feel like it’s truly taking shape!
