Another fence finished up today 👍

This one was 24 metres long after the old fence finally gave up during the recent storms. The previous posts had rotted through and the whole thing had started leaning badly, so it was time for a fresh start.

All cleared out and replaced with new posts and boards - solid again and looking much tidier.

Always a good feeling seeing it all lined up straight when you stand back at the end of the day.

Just finished a large conifer hedge trim for a new regular customer and it’s made a massive difference already.

🌿 Ivy might look charming… but it can cause serious damage 🌿

Common ivy can make a wall or fence look beautifully green and established — but behind the scenes it can quietly wreak havoc on your property.

Here’s what we regularly see hidden beneath ivy:
• 🧱 Mortar joints weakened as ivy roots force their way in
• 🏠 Cracked or loosened render and stonework
• 🪟 Blocked air vents and gutters, leading to damp issues
• 🪵 Rot and decay in fences, sheds, and timber features
• 🐜 A perfect hiding place for pests and moisture

Ivy doesn’t cause existing cracks — but once it finds them, it makes them far worse

First of the pre-season tidy-ups completed 🌿
Shrubs pruned, beds weeded and cleared, and a fresh layer of fine mulching bark applied to finish it off nicely.

Gardens are waking up — get in touch if yours needs a spring refresh.
