A perfect example of why we do not carry out hedge cutting during nesting season 🐦🌿

Hidden away inside this hedge was a nest full of chicks, completely unseen until taking a closer look. It just shows how important it is to avoid hedge trimming during the nesting period, as so much wildlife depends on these areas for shelter and safety.

At JM Gardening & Countryside Services, we do not cut hedges during nesting season. Protecting wildlife and working responsibly is far more important than rushing to get a hedge tidied.

Sometimes leaving nature alone for a few months is the best thing we can do. 🌱🐣

The first of this season’s lawn renovations are finally starting to show their true potential 🌱👌

After weeks of preparation, feeding, overseeding and care, we’re now onto the first cuts… and the difference is incredible already.

Still a few weeds to tackle, but the transformation is well underway. Healthy, thicker grass coming through nicely and starting to completely change the look of the garden.

This is why patience pays off with lawn renovations 💚✂️

Today at Jmgardening we were doing what we get called out for more than anything else… new build lawns 🌱🏡

The issues are nearly always the same:
• Poor quality topsoil
• Not enough depth
• Heavy clay underneath

The truth is, you can’t easily fix what’s below without starting again—but you can transform what’s above 👌
