This is a project that we finished at end of last year for the Mills family in Bridge of Don, which transformed an outdated cramped kitchen and utility area and created a fabulous new open plan kitchen and dining room, with new sun lounge which has created a space that is very modern and very welcoming.

This project was based around using our design and build service, where our customer had spoken to a couple other companies looking for inspiration to create a new practical and functional space, with no success, where they then heard about Monarch Builds and utilised us to design the project and thereafter submit the drawings for the required planning and building warrant permissions and build their dream transformation.

As you can see from the floor plans, the new layouts are much more user friendly, with the added benefit of proper access to the rear garden and the space is all nice and bright with lots of natural light flooding into the property.

We worked with Laings Direct in Inverurie to design a modern kitchen and utility which simply blends in perfectly to the new space.

We are looking for joiner who has good experience in house extensions and replacement windows and can work to a high quality and leave a tidy site at end of each day and who can work well with other employees and communicates well management and customers.
This position is for a few months initially to help cover with current workload and could lead to permanent employment.
A van could be provided for this position.

This is a project we have just completed in Tarland for Mr & Mrs Roberton, where we have removed a partition between Dining Room and Kitchen and then widened the opening between Kitchen and Sun Lounge and installed a lovely Olive Green & Grey Kitchen, where this has made for a fabulous Open Plan Kitchen, which is now flooded with natural light and creates a very spacious user friendly room.

I had the pleasure of re-visiting this project yesterday for Kevin and Louise, where we designed and built this open plan Sun Lounge for them.

Always thought this was going to make a great space with a high ceiling, all windows, doors and roof-light being triple glazed aluminium products and a highly insulated room, with the bonus of a customer who has a good eye for detail with very tasteful furnishings.

We originally built a two story side extension, with open plan kitchen a few years ago for them, where we were fortunate enough to be invited back to back to build this extension.

I think we can all agree that this is definite upgrade from the old draughty outdated conservatory that was inherited with the house.

As a company, we are very fortunate to have some great customers who trust us with repeat business over the years and pass on regular recommendations for our business.

Our large renovation project at Monymusk coming along nicely, with original roof all stripped and new Black PVC Fasica, Soffit and Guttering, sarking board, and breather paper and tiles installed along with the new flat roof over the extension with brackets in place ready for solar PV panels, with new highly energy efficient Triple glazed windows and doors installed.

Additional insulation, and all plasterboarding started inside main house and looking forward to moving onto the extension and preparing for all the Larch cladding to be installed.

This is one of those projects, that will be fully transformational to this property.

Back again !!!
We are proud to showcase another one of our extensions, where Jack, our apprentice joiner came with me last night to re-visit this extension, which we designed and built last year for Cath and Kenny, where we always thought the space was going to work out well, along with our customer, where we believe this extension sits nicely in between the house and the garage, to form a fantastic space, joining the Kitchen, to both the front and new rear lounge areas, where the rooms are all flooded with natural daylight, along with creating that feeling that you are in the middle of the garden, whatever the weather outside.
This was the first extension, where Jack carried out all the joinery work himself for this project, outwith some help for the heavy lifting, and he excelled and he should be very proud of what he achieved, with a very happy boss and happy customers.
Jack will be a fully fledged joiner later this month and I am sure he has a bright future ahead of him, as his skills grow with Monarch.
