Work carried out on a 150 yr old semi end of last week in Ipswich. Floor by front door dropped and plastered walls by front door and staircase damp/mould/cracked and blown. Be back to finish towards end of this week coming so pictures of it all complete to follow

Recent cladding job carried out. Was mock Tudor (sorry forgot to take pictures). Removed timbers but left render as on to studwork and didn’t want to disturb plaster internally, battened out, breathable membrane (vapour barrier behind render) then clad in pvc weatherboard. Managed to keep decorative lead work and redress

Fond memories working on this project in town where I supervised and fitted the timber windows, plus also given the responsibility of being mastic man (which you don’t normally get the pleasure on site). 2nd picture shows where I had a hand in the re-pointing (thanks to yours truly being able to drive a scissor lift) using traditional methods (lime mortar, done by hand, no gun and stick finish not pointing iron). Must of impressed as stayed on to work internally and ended up left in charge whilst the floor layers could come in to do the last stage of relaying the communal floors
