Some before and after shots from a recent paving installation at Chelmondiston. The original slabs were poorly laid directly on soil and had become loose, uneven and dangerous. These were removed and a proper foundation dug which was then filled with compacted MOT type 1 as a sub base. The new slabs were then laid on a solid mortar base. The new path was also made wider to create easier access and created using non slip slabs to improve safety.

A recent emergency fence repair in Hadleigh, Suffolk. The base of the posts had rotted out, causing the fence to lean over into the adjacent garden. However the fence could not be replaced because of the established plants climbing on it. Therefore the existing posts were reinforced with concrete spurs cemented deep in the ground to straighten and support the fence for many years to come. Most importantly, no Dog Toothed Violets or Hellebores were harmed during the repair of this fence!
