** PART TIME JOB OPPORTUNITY **

We are currently seeking a part time Self-Employed / Subcontract Gardener to join our Gardening team in the Ivybridge and South Hams area.

Overview: We are a busy, established gardening team looking to expand due to increased workload. So we are on the lookout for a reliable, self-employed gardener to join us on a subcontractor basis. We have a steady stream of residential and commercial work ready for the right person starting as soon as possible subject to a trial day and a formal meeting..

Requirements:

- Though not essential it would be benificial to have proven experience in general garden maintenance (mowing, weeding, pruning, hedge cutting etc) though full training can be provided.

- Ideally your own transport to get to an from our base of operation just outside of Ivybridge.
- Registered as self-employed with HMRC (UTR number required)
- Strong work ethic and excellent customer service skills.
- basic knowledge of plants and maintenance.

What a fantastic day we had yesterday at Devon County show checking out some of the latest machinery and gardening equipment and some plant displays and local plant nurseries and suppliers. We always like to work locally with south west based companies and devon county showcases some of the best in the business. We are looking forward to working with some of these on some projects we have coming up. A fantastic day out Thanks Devon County Show.

We love spring here at Moorview and its nice to finally see the sun shining too. check out some of The beattiful features and plants we have been maintaining over the years in our wonderful gardens putting on a show. you simply cant beat the beauty of nature. Its all about preperation for results and knowing when to properly prune and maintain each individual shrub, tree and plant. The beauty of spring never ceases to amaze us.

Here is a few tips for what to do this time of year with your gardens.

- Plant summer bulbs. April is the perfect time for planting summer flowering bulbs such as Dahlias, gladiolis and lillies.

- Lawn Care - cut for the first time mostly on a higher cut or mulch - apply moss killer or grass seed to patches and fertiliser if needed

- pruning, April is the perfect time to lightly prune and deadhead hydrangeas, prune summer flowering shrubs before they grow. it is also a prime time to prune roses.

- Planting.. Start thinking about planting those veggies and fruit seedlings. start under glass or in a windowsill in small pots with good quality seedling compost such as Westland John Innis seed sowing compost, and transplant when showing signs of strong growth. April is a perfect month to begin this.

Here at Moorview we always strive for perfection thats why we are constantly updating and changing our machinery as the business grows and we only work with the best machinery available on the market and today was no exception as we finally took delivery of The new Weibang Virtue 53 SSDX BBC LV commercial mower ( yes thats alot of random letters 🤣) But they all have a meaning which helps us gain an expert advantage in our gardens and on our lawns.

These mowers are Shaft driven for more power and reliability they are also specifically designed for working in the UK weather conditions and yes thats right you guessed it even wet weather conditions 🌧🌧 .... which is ALOT in the UK as we all know lol so nothing can stop us now not even the rain.

a huge shout out to Shinners Bridge Garden Machinery for sorting this out for us and being so helpfull and supportive along the process.

Bring on the grass season :)
