We’re looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive growth across our fire maintenance and fire door maintenance services.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in fire safety, compliance, FM, or passive fire protection who enjoys building relationships and winning new business in a regulated, essential-services environment.

🔥 The Role
Win new business for fire maintenance and fire door inspection, repair & replacement services

Build strong relationships with FM companies, property managers, contractors & end users

Manage the full sales cycle – from prospecting to contract award
Attend client meetings and site visits to understand compliance requirements

Prepare quotations, proposals, and tenders

Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets

👤 About You
Proven BDM / sales experience in fire safety, fire doors, maintenance, or FM
Strong understanding of fire compliance and legislation
Confident communicator and negotiator
Self-motivated, organised, and target driven
Full UK driving licence

🎯 Desirable
Existing contacts within FM or property management
Knowledge of fire door standards (e.g. BS 8214, FIRAS, BM TRADA)

This week some of our team had some time out of the usual day to day activities to complete systems training at WAGNER Head Office in Birmingham 🤓🔥👨‍🏫

At Quartz Empire we are strong believers in continuous development, not only in our team and their knowledge but equally in the technology and systems we can provide our clients.

WAGNER specialises in early fire detection systems by use of Aspirating Smoke Detectors, base units with a detector module and connected pipe system. The system continuously draws air samples from the area being monitored and examines the samples for the smallest smoke particles.

This system is highly sensitive, has a high false alarm immunity and amongst other things, is discreet. This helps to maintain aesthetics whilst providing the coverage needed within any and all properties. 💨 🔥🚨
