I started learning the flooring trade as soon as I left school (age 16) mainly doing domestic jobs inside houses,apartments and flats.
After doing 2 years learning the domestic side of the job, I have now been working with someone doing commercial jobs at places like Pizza Hut, tkmaxx and Morrisons daily doing night shifts. This now means I have the daytimes free to do my own domestic jobs as am now self employed.
I am currently now 3 years on and the main things I am now confident and trained with is prep and fitting carpet n laminate, and can do basic square rooms in vinyl and lvt.
