Black grout is almost always caused by one of three things 👇

💧 Poor ventilation — steam has nowhere to go so it sits on the grout and mould forms
💧 Old or cracked silicone — water gets behind it and works its way into the grout
💧 Low quality grout or poor application — it was never going to last

Here's the honest answer — no amount of scrubbing is going to fix it permanently. Once mould is in the grout it keeps coming back. The only real solution is fresh grout or new tiles and a proper seal.
