FIRST COMPLETION of 2024.
My first finished toys of the New Year, 2 "whuppa whuppas" for my Vietnam project.
Hobby Boss kits that Jim has converted to have open doors. I have discs to swap out for the rotors for when they are in flight. Just got to finish working on them so they fit nicely.
Some firepower and transport for my USMC unit that is now complete.

HULL & EAST RIDINGS WARGAMES CLUB OPEN DAY.
OPERATION MARKET GARDEN.
This years club game took place last Saturday, "Operation Market Garden in 20mm scale. Over 20 players took part and we had a few visitors as well. Overall a very good day all round.
Best thing is we might have picked up a new member from the local area!!
The game played well and resulted in a German victory...... no real surprise there.

20mm U.S 82nd Airborne.
I recently acquired a few packs of Simons Soldiers U.S. Para range to finish off the refurbishment of my 82nd Airborne for the big Market Garden game the club is staging in September.
The figures are superb and paint up rather will in my opinion. Not sure if the pictures do the figures justice.

20mm ARNHEM BRIDGE, FINISHED!!

For a while I have been working on a version of the Arnhem Bridge for the Hull & East Riding Wargames Clubs "Operation Market Garden", taking place on 16th September this year.

Finally got it finished. Its not an exact copy, just my take on a wargames version. From end to end its about 6'6" long.
I have included photos of the work in progress and final shots.
I have added some buildings, vehicles and figures to show the scale of the thing!!

Just got to sort the rest of Arnhem now and finish off around 200 U.S. paras for the 82nd Airborne Division!!

MORE 28mm VIETNAM.
Some more Vietnam stuff. "Extras" from "Full Metal Miniatures". The all to familiar stretcher party and some journalist types. For some reason I keep thinking of the "Scooby Doo" theme tune when I look at the latter!!
The figures are full of character and a joy to paint.
The rest of "The Platoon" will follow soon.

28mm VIETNAM WAR USMC.
Not posted anything for quite a while so here is the start of a small project for myself.
The first figures of a USMC platoon for the Vietnam War. The gorgeous figures are from Gr**go 40's, which are a joy to paint. Other figures are on the painting table and I need to buy some more to complete what should be a "small project" (I know, I know!!).
Once complete the platoon are going to be named individually after characters from several movies, not necesarilly war films, and a few historical figures.

28mm SCANIAN WAR SWEDISH FORCES>
Numerous images of some Swedish units painted for a customer for the Scanian War of the late 1670's.
Figures are from the GNW range by Ebor Miniatures which are really nice looking and great to paint. I love the "chocolate box" colour scheme of the selected units and only wish I could have taken the photos after the flags were added (the customer is doing this himself).
These units form just over half of the army, the rest is waiting to go onto the painting table. Images of these will follow at a later date.

SOME OF SIMONS SOLDIERS WWII FRENCH.
I have finally got round to finishing some of the "newer" releases of Simons French for my own collection. They consist of packs FR11a,17,18,20 and 21. Lovely figures as we all know but my photography sadly doesn't do them justice. Just got another 100+ to go!!

The first WWII stuff I have painted for myself in ages. They were for a game yesterday but didn't perform as well as expected!! Casualties were high!!
