Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been busy out and about, with fantastic examples of social value in action across our teams and projects.
We’ve had the pleasure of engaging with young people at The Prescot School, delivering mock interviews with Year 9 students. It was a great opportunity to share insight, build confidence, and help prepare them for future pathways into the world of work.
We also joined the An Hour for Others business network meeting, continuing to build meaningful connections with organisations equally committed to making a positive difference in their communities. Alongside this, we attended the RealWorth Social Value Masterclass, strengthening our understanding and approach to delivering impactful social value across our projects.
Supporting local schools has remained a key focus. We were delighted to donate barriers and cones to Allanson Street Primary School to support their outdoor play and learning programme, helping to create a safe and engaging environment for pupils, while also promoting road safety awareness in line with our commitment to The Bobby Colleran Trust.
We’ve also been out on site in Speke, welcoming young school leavers through Employability Solutions for a ‘day in the life’ experience. Giving them a real insight into construction and the opportunities available is always incredibly rewarding and an important part of inspiring the next generation.
And to top it all off, we were proud to be recognised at the CIHT North West Awards, taking home the Quality, Diversity & Inclusion Award. This achievement reflects the values behind our HA Means More ethos: creating opportunities, supporting communities, and ensuring social value remains at the heart of everything we do.
From engaging with young people and supporting local education to building partnerships and celebrating success, it’s been another great couple of weeks showcasing what social value means to us in practice.
