Vintage on the Nith :

Just four days to go before the opening of Vintage on the Nith, Glencaple. Trying to get the exterior painted in the current climate has been a challenge to say the least. Not far off advanced frostbite.

My opening hours will be: Tuesday: 12-5pm; Wednesday-Saturday: 10-5pm; Sunday: 11-4pm; Monday closed. Please keep an eye on my page for any alterations to these times.

Looking forward to welcoming everyone to my shop and I am hoping a visit will solve some of your Christmas gift conundrums. Thanks to everyone for their likes, follows, comments, encouragement and kindnesses so far.

Vintage on the Nith opened their doors for the first time last night. What a fabulous transformation of the Old Post Office in Glencaple. Only 4 miles from Dumfries town centre well worth a visit...stunning collection of retro homewares and an interesting collection of books.Xmas ideas anyone? Thank you for a lovely evening Gerry Donnelly and good to meet you Claire, you're one talented lady!

It's the last day of our Summer Exhibition tomorrow, Sunday 1st September! Open 12-4pm. Hard to believe that 'Strata' by Caroline Hone hasn't headed off to a new home yet...may have to keep it myself! Still lots to see, do stop by.

So we said goodbye to Wet Wet Wet by Caroline Hone and if you've been tempted by any of her new works then it's really time to 'buy now or weep later.' Less than two weeks to run, the Summer Exhibition also has some new work by Elizabeth Dagg and a few remaining Figurative pieces by Jane Howe.

'Strata' a stunning new painting by Caroline Hone. My personal favourite however, is her 'Wet Wet Wet' A must see! Come away in and soak up some colour as our Summer Exhibition (and the rain) continues. We're open today 12-5pm
