Hi everyone, as things are getting even busier with the sunshine making a prolonged appearance i thought id just take a moment to introduce a few key points regarding books, cancellations and jobs...
A job that was booked for start of july has cancelled today, so theres a 2 week space available as the following two jobs cant be brought forward.
There will be a video where I will explain more, however 2 key points o will now be bringing in with immediate effect. .
1, bookings will only be accepted and entered into the diary once either a booking deposit is paid or a materials deposit is paid
As the onenoerson who does the admin, quotes, planning, installations and endless other tasks people dont see behind the scenes, my time is very short.
This means that if we are on a large job, I have to accommodate quotes, bookings, booking of materials, plant hire m, waste removal etc while trying to physically work too as thats the only part that I earn money from..
However, with no booking deposits and 10 jobs cancelled since December ive spent a minimum of 2 hours per quote and booking at minimum, that time could of been spent on paid work instead of 2 hours wasted unfortunately.
I know that anybody situations can change at any time, and a few jobs have rescheduled for later in the year and next year but unfortunately I have to draw the line now.
Ive ordered fencing, sheds, turf, diggers and plant hire, moved jobs around, arranged for extra staff etc to be cancelled at short notice.
Unfortunately materials that are ordered carry a restocking fee, which frustrates me as thats money out of my own pocket when ive not been paid a penny by the job thats been booked... my time is very little spare, especially with my dad, family time with my kids and general life too.
Ill do a video to explain more details over the next few days, however without materials deposit or a booking fee payment then I wont be accepting any new bookings until these are agreed and paid to save me having to cover costs out of my own pocket.
