Today at Cae Hir Gardens .... what a great idea for a Saturday afternoon!

Today is our Bumblebee Safari day....there is still plenty of space left on both safaris, so if you'd like to join one please just show up in time for either the 11.30am or 2pm tour. The cost is £10 which includes a £2.50 donation to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust 🐝🐝🐝

This is a great opportunity for an unusual safari experience right here in West Wales! Join Sian Saunders, an experienced volunteer with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, as she guides you around Cae Hir Gardens, where a good number of the UK's bumblebees can be found buzzing around. She will spot them and show you the fabulous variety of species, explaining their differences, how rare they may or may not be, the challenges they face, and how we can all help them survive and thrive. At the end of the safari you will feel informed and equipped to go home to your own gardens and put all you have learned into practice to help these wonderful and threatened garden favourites.

The Bumblebee Conservation Trust will also have a stall set up during the day between 11am and 3.30pm, offering informative leaflets for you to take away as well as some merchandise if you fancy a shopping spree! The tea room will also be open for refreshments.

Event times: There will be 2 safaris, each lasting about an hour. The first will run from 11.30am - 12.30pm, the second from 2pm - 3pm.

The Ceredigion Garden, Craft & Food Festival is an annual 2 day festival in the heart of Aberaeron, over the Sunday and late May Bank Holiday Monday.

Over the coming days I will be spotlighting the nurseries coming to our Plant Fair this weekend - so do keep your eyes peeled!

Today it gives me great pleasure to say that 3 local nurseries who, for various differing reasons were not here last year, are this year making a welcome return! It's great to have you back Woodlanddwelling.co.uk, Ty Cwm Nursery and Aeron Acers!

Woodlanddwelling.co.uk specialise, as the name suggests, in trees. Russell is a true haven of knowledge, so do pick his brains while you're shopping!
Ty Cwm Nursery have a great and often unusual selection of perennials, including their own beautiful Geranium pratense 'Cloud Nine' and a fun fascination with carnivorous plants.
Aeron Acers specialise in these beautiful maples, and have a lovely variety of colours and sizes to suit any garden from the smallest to the largest.

Cae Hir Gardens Plant Fair will be on this coming Sunday 4th and Monday 5th May, from 10am-4pm. Free Parking, Free Entry, Refreshments, Dogs Welcome 🪴🌸🌿🌹🐕🍰☕

Our first event of the year in the grounds of the beautiful Rhosygilwen Mansion. Sunday 27th April 10-3.

We have 18 amazing stallholders with a huge range of perennials plants, vegetable plants, crafters and a creche to look after your plants whilst you have a breather in the cafe.
This is always a busy event and access is tight so if you can car share that would be great and please don't park in the passing places on the drive. We have car parking attendants helping out.
