Reductions of previously topped small trees over in Mellor, Blackburn today.

1) Sycamore 2) Mountain Ash and 3) Conifer.

Access of all three trees made possible via the high anchor point with rope left in sycamore.

The Sycamore had been pruned to questionable places by somebody else previously. This made maintaining a lovely tree shape whilst pruning pretty challenging. Thankfully it turned out as well as possible and customer very happy.

The customer was contemplating removing the sycamore tree, however I’m glad to have encouraged him to keep it and just reduce the size.

The Rowan Mountain Ash tree turned out well and was pretty straight forward transforming it into a lovely well kept shape.

Conifer was straight forward and topped to previous hight, roughly a third.

This work will encourage more light into the garden. I think the customer should expect to see an improvement in their lawn this year as it was boggy in spots.😎

A local willow made safe again after high winds over the weekend. We tied this big limb up with a rigging line so that it was safe to work around. Then bigger timber from the limb was lowered on a rope to prevent damage to walls and garden fences hidden by bushes and shrubbery underneath. Apologies for the camera quality on some shots, it was a wet windy day !

Please Call Isaac on 07908118881 regarding any tree work 😀

Wet one today in Clayton le moors with Rowan.

Access and a path was cleared through the woodland. This wych Elm tree was given a crown lift and overall re balancing of the crown. It had grown slightly over the pond not letting any light through and taking up too much space.
The wood chip makes a great surface to spray on the floor to make a path. This suppresses weeds and other vegetation making it a usable space.

The removal of a big old dying sycamore with Honey fungus.
The remaining section of stem was decided to be left as a habitat pole for wildlife.

Estimated to be 300+ years old, it sure was a shame to see it go.

🌳🍄Armillaria mellea causes root rot in many plant species and produces mushrooms around the base of trees it has infected. The symptoms of infection appear in the crowns of infected trees as discoloured foliage, reduced growth, dieback of the branches and death.
