About Helen:
After previously working in the NHS and MOD as a RGN nurse a change in career took me from working in Occupational Health and GP practice nursing to horticulture. Wanting to carry on a caring role and utilising my occupational health skills but in a different field I obtained my RHS qualifications with the Royal Botanical Gardens Edinburgh and Horticultural Therapy Awards with Thri
ve. I provide advice to clients on how to make the most of their garden spaces from window boxes and balconies to small gardens and themed beds. I have worked for 2 years designing and providing social therapeutic horticulture sessions to secondary school students with SEN in a specialist school setting. It is now well evidenced that well-being improves when we come into contact with nature and the outdoors. About Rosemary:
From a young age, I have always had a passion for nature, the outdoors, and gardening, which, stemmed from helping my grandparents and mother in their gardens. I previously worked as a Royal Engineer Officer within the British Armed Forces. Having gained so many skills from the Army I decided that it was time for a change. I started my career in Horticulture by volunteering in my holidays and weekends and soon decided to make it my full time career. I completed a practical placement with the WFGA and completed my RHS level 2. I love creating versatile spaces which suit the client and will stand the test of time. Whether this be a pot display or a border redesign. I am passionate about bringing gardening to the younger generations and making it accessible for everyone.
