Currently working on this little woodland garden, can you see where I've been?

As it's a deep bed, the plan is to edge, tidy and restock the front of the beds for some colour, uncover the fritillaries and cyclamen in the mid section from the brambles and ivy that are smothering them, and remove self seeded saplings and wood avons. I will also reduce the ivy but leave the back a bit more wild. I even found a clematis, so popped in an obelisk to give it a frame to climb on.

Finally completed (I think) my own garden project. Removed weedy front turf/nettle patch, added pebbles and planting, and created my own version of a Beth Chatto inspired drought resistant garden. Just waiting for the grasses and flowers to mature, when it should be really pretty.

Another tidied bed ready for spring; edged and dotted with pretty little self seeded bellis plants moved from the lawn and transplanted safely where they can show themselves properly, without fear of the lawnmower !

Today my little work colleague Robin kept me company all morning, checking my work and helping me chase out the ground elder !

Not all gardens have to be big ones.
This is my little Hens & Chicks or House Leek garden (Sempervivum), using Martin's Nan's leaky birdbath and little bits of tile, stone and oddments found on our walks.

Remembered to take a before and after today 🏅
Truly satisfying to expose this lovely brick path again, and gaps left so some new plants can be added for a splash of colour.

What does a jobbing gardener do during the wettest winter on record ? Well I've kept myself busy with a little job related reading.
(Though with the scrolly font, my last name makes my certificate practically unreadable!) 🤔🧐👩‍🎓

Starting to get back out there now I've relocated to stunning Suffolk. I have a small number of gardens to keep me out of trouble now.
The snow drops are just peeking out, and a viburnum gives just a little pop of colour whilst the other plants slumber on waiting for spring.

One last photo from this beautiful garden in Finmere that I've had the privilege to keep tidy these past 3 years. The nepeta (Catmint) is on its second bloom, and the tree is aflame !
