Thirty-two charities in England and Wales have donated at least £28 million to illegal Israeli settlements, according to Labour MP Melanie Ward.
Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper announced on Tuesday that the Charity Commission has been tasked with investigating UK charities' financial links to Israeli settlements.
Ward names the Kasner Charitable Trust and UK
Toremet, which reportedly donated £5.7 million to a yeshiva in the Israeli settlement of Susya. She also said Kasner funded a yeshiva in Hebron, while UK Toremet donated nearly £40,000 to Regavim, a pro-settler group sanctioned by the EU.
The revelations have prompted investigations into how millions of pounds in charitable donations are being monitored and regulated.
