Another little job completed today.

Exterior border brought back under control for a customer. The border hadn’t seen any maintenance for a number of years and needed a good cut back.

As we are registered waste carriers we were also able to take away 7 sacks of waste from the border!

First cut of 3 very overgrown lawns for a new customer on a new build estate. The grass hadn’t been cut since the turf was laid at the end of February.

All grass strimmed then mowed on the highest mower setting. Not quite a bowling green at the moment! We will be looking after these lawns and slowly reducing the length of the grass over the coming weeks.

As we are registered waste carriers we were also able to remove and properly dispose of the 4 1/2 sacks (!) of grass clippings for them.

Lawn renovation season has begun.

2 little lawns to get the ball rolling this year.

We applied iron to knock back the moss then returned 2 weeks later to scalp, scarify, fertilise, seed slot, over seed, top dress and water in.

It’s now over to the customer to follow a watering schedule for the next 2 - 3 weeks until the seed germinates and establishes itself.

We are just about to start Lawn Renovation season.

Fence painting job this afternoon. This fence doesn’t get much sun so it had a growth of algae on it. Wet & Forget applied 2 weeks ago then left to do its thing. A good coat of Cuprinol Ducks Back left it looking good as new.

Invasion of the Spanish Bluebells! Isn’t that an episode from Dr Who😆.

This customer had a bit of a problem with Spanish Bluebells in one of her borders. They are quite invasive and multiply quite quickly. What starts off as a neat little patch can turn into a border full of them before you know it!
We did a deep dig to get out as many of the tubers as possible to free up space for planting. Other border weeding and grass cutting also undertaken at the same time.

When you cut the lawns of next door neighbours you have to make sure they both get the same stripes!
