Bees glorious bees

Cirsium vulgare is a kind of thistle providing a great source of food for bees and goldfinches. It provides a fabulous pop of vibrant pink when used in a natural plant border.

Foxgloves provide pollen for longue-tongued bees. It also looks great in a natural or woodland border.

Sense of Theatre

This design provides a real sense of drama with its central curved lawn and circular path leading you deftly around the garden through the arches to a peaceful seating area. The client loves her swing seat too!

The design began in autumn last year and procceded through 3D concept plan to more detailed plans, choosing a landscaper and then, finally, yesterday, the plants arrived. Always an exciting moment to watch the plants bring the garden to life. The rain did not let up but it's ok when the garden looks as pretty in the rain as this one!

My wonderful client embraced the design fully and I thank her for trusting me with her space.

Revisiting this project 6 months on and so delighted that everything is thriving.

I always offer a free visit some months down the line to see how the planting is evolving and answer any questions you may have. A garden is a living thing and not just a picture in a plan. So, it is so important to observe and see if any further touches could enhance the whole.

What a transformation!

From tired garage to a multi-functional and spacious patio. There is also a quiet space for busy parents and plenty of grass for fun and games with the kids. All planned before the fantastic extension. Better to plan ahead!
