I've removed an old section of cornice from an exterior wall to allow us to insulate and improve a properties thermal performance.

The cornice has been re made the old school way, not stuck up but ran insitu, now you would never know its been removed and its been reinstated as it should be

Old Lath and Plaster wall come off in one piece on a job today!
This is a traditional plastering method found in many older houses.

Lime plaster is squeezed between the timber laths which once set creates a strong but flexible background to plaster onto!

But this traditional plastering method does have a lifespan so check what to keep on eye on...

Damp around chimneys in loft bedrooms, expecially in older properties is not always the roof leaking..

Do not spend thousands replacing lead flashings and re poitning chimney stacks!

9 times out of 10 its not a roofing problem!

Job completed in Seamer, Scarborough.

This ceiling was in a bad state which needed repairing and plastering in Seamer, Scarborough today.

We have screwed up the ceiling and bandaged all cracks before re skimming the ceiling leaving it ready for decorating.

A small bedroom / office ceiling plasterboard and skimmed in Chapel Allerton, Leeds.

Our customer had a roof leak causing damage to the old ceiling, so it was removed and replaced. Leaving a flat surface to decorate.
