About 10 weeks ago, my mum said: “Alisha, why don’t you renovate the outbuilding and open a clinic at home?”
9 weeks ago, my uncle worked his magic and cut a new door hole, made the two buildings one and gave me water access in the clinic. My cousin handled all the electrics, and ‘please could you put this on the wall for me’ , ‘please can you come over and have a look at this’ and then D P Plastering & Property Maintenance came in and did everything from plastering to insulation, floor leveling, and removing old windows and doors, and blocking them out. Last but not least.. a superhero (my uncle) who came last minute, on rainy night after work and finished off my plumbing, connecting my sink up and my water pipes - literal life saverrrr!
Meanwhile, my mum and I were busy painting, laying floors, and my dad, well… he was busy pretending to enjoy all the ‘nattering’ while keeping us fueled with his endless support, food and drinks.
I’m beyond grateful for my incredible family and friends who helped with ideas, gave me a hand, and believed in me throughout this whole journey. I could not have done it without you all! And a special thank you to my nanna for my lovely crochet gifts🥹🫶🏼
But especially a huge shoutout to my mum—without her, none of this would have been possible, I physically could not have done this without you!I’m so in love with my little clinic🥹🥹🫶🏼🫶🏼🤎🤎
