I'm back and open for business now, but here's a few snaps from my recent trip to Skye, where my brother and I completed a Cuillin ridge traverse - the hardest UK mountaineering challenge. We then spent a week on Anglesey with family and friends unwinding with some climbing and beach days. After a very tough and busy few months, it's been the reset I needed.

Media cabinets...

This is the latest addition to the Burley in Wharfedale site. The customer went for the traditional beaded shaker pattern doors here, with opposing drawers. I really like the look of this project, with white skirting that really helps the cabinets stand out. All my projects can be tailor made like this one, for your individual preferences and needs.

Another media cabinets projects for a client at the Burley in Wharfedale site.

Very similar to previous designs installed at the same development, with some slight alterations to meet the specific needs of the client.

My cabinets are all made to measure, with five piece 22mm shaker doors. They are then sprayed off site by the brilliant craftsman

Oak/Slipper Satin media cabinets

This was a collaborative project with the customer, Kev and Jon , who all gave some input and ideas to help create something a little different. The oak and adjustable led combination works really well, without feeling too harsh. The painted doors also complement the oak veneer parts to create a clean and modern finish.

Recent floor and joist replacement. We had some damp proofing done which also revealed rotten boards and joists. I replaced all the affected joists with treated C24 end wrapped in DPC. All the damaged boards were also replaced. I'll be building and then fitting a bespoke shoe rack next week, in matching pine.

Wrap-around alcove units...

A project recently completed for some neighbours, who wanted a wall to wall look for their living room, which would also accommodate the TV centrally. This was unusual for an alcove project in that we filled the central space. We used a medium oak wax on the oak boards to complement the cream shaker doors, which really helps bring some warmth to the space. I think we succeeded with what was a fairly limited space here. All my doors are handmade, and the cabinets can be made to any dimensions to fit your space. I only use Blum soft close hardware, which is lifetime guaranteed.

Some Belize Oak unfinished doors fitted earlier this week. The doors were supplied by LPD in Leeds, and the hardware is the Fino handle by Jigtech/Dale Hardware.

These were fitted to match some existing oak doors downstairs. I can supply a wide variety of internal and external doors from various suppliers. Get in touch if you're thinking of replacing internal or external doors.

A recent installation. This is what I got up to last week - wrap around shaker alcove units. A slightlier tricky install, I had to space the cabinets so the door sizes matched as closely as possible, without losing too much storage space. These units were complemented with some oak veneer floating shelves, waxed to match the counter tops. I also made a small alcove shelving unit for the bedroom, in matching wood. All the spray finishing was carried out by , another great job.
