Pattern cutting! So last year my I attended a pattern cutting course and as yet, I haven't had a chance to practice. Today, I am drafting a pattern to make my daughter a lovely, winter corduroy dress. Fingers crossed it all fits together. I haven't had a chance to do any personal sewing for ages. As much as I enjoy commissioned work, I'm looking forward to getting my teeth into my own sewing and getting mine and my children's winter wardrobe made. I need (ok, not need) a new coat and I have a new found love for corduroy. Watch this space 👀

Good morning. Today I'm finishing off an order for Roman blinds. The fabric is a charcoal knitted jersey (not intended for blinds) which makes it tricky to sew, but looks pretty amazing, also nice and thick for winter days.

This is a dress I was commissioned to make for a lovely lady's daughter. A lot of love, netting and hand sewing has gone in to this beauty. I love the end result, and is exactly as imagined.

It's been absolutely aaaaages since I've last posted on here. I have been a busy bunny, moving house and trying to keep the little ones (and the big ones) entertained over the holidays.

However, I have managed to get a bit of sewing done. I've found myself a little corner (kitchen table) to work on an amazing custom piece. I am so excited to get my teeth back in sewing, and boy! This was a piece.

I can't show it fully but here's a sneak preview..... Think, lace,silk and lots and lots of netting.

A bit of a late post for me. But, tonight I am working on a custom outfit. I'm quite excited about this as its for someone very special. I can't say much else about it right now because it's a surprise, but, i promise I'll post pictures when I can. I hope your enjoying your Friday night.
