I've been so busy I don't seem to have had a spare minute to post anything for ages so here's a few photos from a job carried out today for a regular customer in Horsforth, Leeds... the assembly of this lovely Char-Broil Gas2Coal BBQ. The customer just needs some good weather now!!

The latest job carried out by S. Bretherick Handyman Services, a few "finishing touches" in this recently decorated bedroom of a regular customer in Roundhay. The assembly of Next and John Lewis furniture (2 beds, a 6 drawer chest, bedside unit, and "ladder style" shelving unit) and the fitting of a Roman blind and 2 sets of hooks giving a cool, finished look to the room.

Well it's been a long time since I posted anything so thought I'd post these photos of a job carried out last year... maybe as inspiration for a room makeover when things (eventually!) start getting back to normal! This returning customer wanted a sleek storage solution, without the high cost of fitted wardrobes, for the front and rear bedrooms but the problem was that both rooms had a chimney breast in the way. The solution which I proposed was to use standard IKEA PAX wardrobe frames, with the frames in front of the chimney breast cut down in depth to allow one continuous, flush "wall of wardrobes". The reduced depth wardrobes were fitted with plenty of shelves, providing lots of useful storage space for small items and toiletries etc. Mirrored glass doors in both rooms completed the sleek, contemporary look... much nicer and more functional, in my opinion, than simply having a wardrobe in each alcove, either side of the chimney!

S. Bretherick Handyman Services in Leeds recently made this made to measure garden gate for a new customer in Tingley.

A kick from a careless delivery driver, coupled with rotten timber, had caused the old gate to break and so S. Bretherick Handyman Services was asked to replace it.

22mm preservative treated timber and hot dip galvanised hinges, catch and bolt gave a really sturdy gate that will last for years!

Curtain pole fitting is a popular job for S. Bretherick Handyman Services in Leeds.

This new customer in the new build estate at Horsforth Vale, Leeds, wanted 2 poles fitting into a bedroom bay window.

The 2 poles were bent to the shape of the bay, cut to length and then fitted to the top of the bay, one in front of the other, ready for the 2 pairs of curtains. Another happy customer!

3 curtain poles fitted and 8 internal doors trimmed to accommodate new carpets at a new build property in Horsforth.

A double arm, tilt/swivel TV bracket was fitted by S. Bretherick Handyman Services in Leeds for a new customer in Moortown.

The sturdy bracket was fixed to the wall with 6 x M8 coach screws giving a secure fixing and ensuring that this customer is ready for all the Christmas TV repeats!

More PAX wardrobes assembled by S. Bretherick Handyman Services, this time for a new customer in Bingley.

This PAX combination wardrobe consisted of 2 x 75cm frames, shelves, hanging rail, pull out wire baskets and a mixture of plain and mirrored doors. Another happy customer!

The latest job for S. Bretherick Handyman Services in Leeds, made to measure driveway gates for a new customer, made to fit their existing gate posts.

Each of the 7' x 6' driveway gates were constructed with preservative treated timber and hung using hot dipped galvanised heavy duty hinges, catches and bolts which will ensure that these gates last for years!

A busy day yesterday for S. Bretherick Handyman Services in Leeds assembling Ikea flat pack furniture for a new customer in Harrogate.

This customer had ordered the Ikea PAX 236cm wardrobes and then realised that, due to insufficient ceiling clearance, they would need building vertically which is no easy task on your own.

Fortunately he called S. Bretherick Handyman Services for help. Using our extensive flat pack know how the frames were easily built single handedly - a combination of 100cm, 75cm and 50cm wide frames, along with a corner unit, and a mix of wood panel effect and mirror doors gave a stunning finished result and an extremely happy customer!
