This room was slowly getting unorganised, clothes were getting stacked and nothing quite made sense. There was also a good built in cupboard which was being used as storage for tools, decorating bits and general household things but it was all crammed in. The customer wanted a cosy walk in wardrobe area so everything could be seen. She wanted to get rid of the chest of drawers but instead I thought this could be used instead of buying stacking boxes for the cupboard and reusing what was already about.
There was a big unused clothes rail so I hung all the clothes from the floor, laid out the shoes and handbags, making this a convenient room for everyday use.
The storage cupboard was all organised and the chest of drawers came in full use with each drawer categorised with tools. The rest of the items were sorted through and neatly put away and opening up this space so she could easily find and get things out when needed.

Kitchen cupboards can sometimes be challenging when space is limited for food items. This kitchen was difficult to organise as there was not much space to work with and new storage boxes would not fit into the small spaces and narrow shelves but after many attempts to make it all fit, the cupboards are now categorised and in order so items can easily be seen without having to pull many things out.

I absolutely loved doing this room and wardrobe organising. My customer has a busy lifestyle and with 3 children and limited space it was getting unmanageable. They had a hanging rail in the bedroom with a small separate hanging space/ cupboard and a further cupboard on the landing which was filled with her partners belongings.
1 of the boys clothes were dedicated to the main bedroom but were not easy to get to. Clothes piles were increasing on the bedroom floor and it difficult to find items.
I wanted her son to feel like he had his own space and not in his parents’ room so I organised the parents clothes and belongings from the wardrobe and off the floor and into the 2 wardrobe spaces in the bedroom and her sons clothes in the landing cupboard.
I worked with existing items without having to have new storage boxes as I felt it wasn’t necessary for this space. Nothing was thrown away as now it is easier to get to and she can slowly work through her clothes and clear out in her own time.
