Curb appeal!

This tired, old, worn out uPVC door had definitely seen better days.

Fitted by the old owner of the house, it didn't work very well, was draughty, and needed changing.

We opted for this white composite door with obscure glass. A huge upgrade both aesthetically and economically.

A bonus picture of the lunch that was provided for me, making this customer one of my favourites of the year!

Modernised.

What's your opinion on leaded windows?

This customer needed a couple of units changing, and decided to get them all replaced with clear. Whilst doing this, I mentioned the possibility of upgrading them to A rated units. Helping with the efficiency of their home.

They decided to go for this, and the pictures speak for themselves! This home has been brought into the 21st Century!

It's a no brainer for me on some properties, but some do suit the lead! What's your thoughts?

All in the finer details.

This customer wanted to improve the look of their front door. In his words: "Bring it into the 21st Century"

With not enough budget for a new door, I suggested replacing the gold hardware for chrome. I fitted a new handle, letterbox and knocker, which really did make a big difference!

We also changed the cylinder for a 3*, as they hadn't had them changed since moving in. This offers a lot more security.

What do you think of the changes?

Internal blinds

What a product! This customer wanted to replace their french doors with a sliding door, and I suggested getting internal blinds instead of their current vertical slat blinds. Internal blinds are inside the double glazed unit, and therefore offer a huge range of benefits;

💎 No cleaning
💎 No blowing in the wind
💎 No getting in the way
💎 No longer a play toy for the cats
💎 No cords

They're fully operated by a magnetic slider on the glass, and available in an array of colours.

Huge home improvements.

A window and door overhaul at this property in Ibstock. A few windows couldn't open, and others couldn't close!

Hinges replaced where needed, gearbox and keeps cleaned and greased. New handles all round, door handles replaced, door restrictors fitted.

A small job in the grand scheme of things, but a huge improvement for this home owner.

Child proof.

Before you have kids, or at least when they're toddlers, you don't realise just how dangerous normal household things can be. This home had low window sills, and their 3 year old could quite easily climb up and reach the window handles.

For obvious reasons, this is not ideal!

After messaging us, we got over and fitted some window restrictors, giving the home owner that all important peace of mind. A simple, inexpensive, but important home improvement.

We also re secured and re sealed a downstairs window which was causing a huge draught.

3 new hinges and a new double glazed unit in Thurmaston.

This customer had to bodge the hinges on their french doors just so you could open them. It was catching at the bottom when opening, and the pin was hanging out.

3 new hinges and some new glass, and the door is perfect again. Toe and heeled properly, hinges set in the neutral position, and the door is a beauty again.
