Think new flooring simply goes straight down? Think again.
What you don’t see is often the most important part of a successful flooring installation.
Before any new carpet, LVT, vinyl or safety flooring can be fitted, the subfloor must be properly prepared. This can include:
✔ Removing existing floor coverings
✔ Uplifting old adhesives and residues
✔ Moisture testing the subfloor
✔ Applying damp proof membrane systems where required
✔ Repairing damaged areas
✔ Installing plywood or specialist underlayments
✔ Screeding and levelling uneven floors
✔ Sanding and smoothing imperfections
✔ Preparing doorways and thresholds
The quality of the finished floor is only as good as the preparation underneath it. Cutting corners on subfloor preparation often leads to failures, lifting, cracking, uneven finishes and costly repairs later on.
At Stylish Flooring & Blinds, we take pride in carrying out the preparation correctly before a single piece of flooring is installed, ensuring your new floor looks fantastic and performs as it should for years to come.
