This is my proud and happy face that I am officially Licenced by Southend-on-Sea Borough Council! I am permitted to board dogs overnight and offer doggy daycare within my home 🐶🏡

After a two hour inspection OFSTED stylie (affectionately referred to as DOGSTED by my husband 🤣) and hours of preparing my written procedures and emergency plans, I’m delighted that I passed with flying colours 😊

I also hold full insurance which covers all of the above too plus dog walking and transporting the dogs in my car.

We’re all crazy dog people in my house so it’s guaranteed your dog will be showered with love and affection during its stay!

Oh so quiet….. 🤫

Morning coffee with my boy, the house is quiet, it’s bliss! Husband is away working, little one has gone out to do his paper-round, eldest is still in bed after coming in at 1am (noted thanks to the Ring doorbell 🤣) and the Whippet is still in bed too, probably waiting for me to call him down for breakfast…he’s a bit of a princess 👸

Hope you all have a lovely weekend. I’ll mostly be dog-sitting 🐶 has a new furry client coming to stay 🐕

Back on the brushes this week!

And I know I said I wasn’t doing hall, stairs and landings anymore….but one last exception for this lovely client! Back at this super cosy Leigh-on-Sea cottage for the 5th time…or is it 6? Anyway, gradually getting the whole house done 😊

Gorgeous complementary colours used….Elephants Breath, a warm mid grey and Skimming Stone, a warm light grey
Woodwork also painted in the same as the wall colour, tying it all in beautifully 🤍 As we know, greys can be cold sometimes but these two are so warm and cosy, they suited this space perfectly 🤍

A hallway corner....I took this photo yesterday morning when the sun was streaming in through the front door bouncing a lovely orange glow everywhere 🧡 It really feels like we’re coming out the other side of what feels like the longest winter in history!

A lazy one in this house this weekend. The husband has gone down with Covid so all previous weekend plans are out the window! To be fair we’re all amazed it’s taken this long for one of us to get it so it was only a matter of time I guess. Anyway, he’s banished to my sons bedroom and I actually think he’s loving life. I delivered homemade burger and chips to him in bed last night, whilst he’s watching Netflix. I’m already bored of looking after him 🤣

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you’ve all had a wonderful week.

No decorating for me this week, I’ve been doing ‘my other job’ as a book-keeper! Something I did in my previous life 😊 so a few days of reconciling bank accounts, balancing the books and keeping the brain ticking over! Day off today and a nice long walk with the doggies this morning ❤️

Here’s a little corner of my home....

My favourite little spot in the hallway and it’s plant heaven! 🌱 The ‘boot’ bench has kind of become ‘plant’ bench. You can never have enough greenery in my opinion💚

Transformation Tuesday ❤️

An after and a before of my stairwell 😁 ….not the most scintillating of shots I know but thought it was a pretty good transformation! And obviously there’s not a Ralph the Whippet in the before shot either 🥰

The hall, stairs and landing and the gallery wall was a lockdown 1.0 project, amongst other things, when I wasn’t allowed to work. Seems a lifetime ago now!

Happy Saturday!

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend and here’s hoping this rain buggers off tout suite 😁

Here’s a little corner I’ve posted before, probably one of my favourite corners...there’s usually a dog or two curled up asleep on this sofa or a teenager hanging off it upside down...but every now and then I manage to capture it whilst it’s tidy, free of humans/dogs and my cushions are actually plumped 😊

Hurrah! The sun has blessed us today ☀️

Finished my decorating job yesterday and lucky to have a day off today….I have a whole list of jobs to tackle, one of them being to clean my bathroom! Exciting times.

My husband and eldest are both away at work as live events and touring is back, yay! My son has just gone off on tour and my husband is prepping ahead of his tour next month! Taking the opportunity of them away to clean 🤣

Today I shall also be making candles! 🕯 Watch this space! 👀
