Chimney maintenence in Pulloxhill 📍

This redundant Chimney stack was causing the customer concern on his property. The internal section had already been capped and removed so the vast height on the dis used stack was now unessary. Removal of approximately 6ft from this stack has relieved weight on the structure but firts aesthetically with the surroundings. The vented bird cowl sitting on the rolled top pot allows ventilation whilst stopping passage of objects down the stack.

With a full rake out and repoint using dust extraction systems allowed this Chimney to recieve all new mortar finishes.

The second Chimney is still live but the flaunching was showing signs of normal wear and tear. Will the scaffolding was up and access was achieved it made sense to give the second Chimney a new cap also.

This project was an Autumn brown Indian sandstone patio on this new build in leighton buzzard 📍

An 'envelope' had to be cut in to satisfy the various levels of the garden.

This one was for a repeat customer. We previously installed a raised solid concrete shed base to ensure a proper footprint to take the shed.

The autumn brown slabs really come to life when wet and compliment the mushroom colour brush in joint system.

Dallas cream porcelain patio and sleeper retaining wall in Harlington 📍

Complete transformation of this lower garden area. Pressure treated timber sleepers retain the higher levels in the garden providing a lixury feel to this multi tiered space.

The 600x900 light colored porcelain brings a bright finish with a contrast against the newly installed aco drains. Aco drains fully connected to the existing drainage outlets to deal with removal of any surface water.

New gate and fence installed to finally finish off and secure this private space.

Some things have to get worse to get better. That was definitely the case with this crack in the boiler house in cheddington.📍

Major separation of the two buildings were caused by a few different factors:
● Vine plants left to their own devices for decades invaded the mortar and caused movement.
● Building practices of days gone by not tied in as substantially as today's practices.

A belt and braces approach has ensured mechanical Fixings, internal straps, heli bar in mortar beds and wall ties where possible.

Repointing in a self repairing lime mortar mix gives as close an aestically pleasing finish to the original masonry.

9 inch brick wall replacement for old rotten fencing in Bedford 📍

The customers old fence was close to falling down so a new solid 9 inch masonry wall has been built instead. Using masonry will allow materials longevity against elements for a long time to come.

Phase 1 completed on this garden wall in dunstable 📍

9 inch wall built with Hampton rural blends and a engineering brick finish. Great contrast on the before and after. This length of wall is now awaiting the finishing touches of a metal railing.

Due to the age of the wall, the existing footing was non-existent. After demolition of the old wall, a new substantial footing was poured to ensure this wall goes no where.

Pond to flower bed transformation in Leighton Buzzard 📍

The customer was struggling with the maintenance of the pond and therefore asked us to provide a low maintenence flower bed. After draining the pond we lined it with a geotextile fabric allowing water through for drainage but stopped any chance of weeds finding their way in. A second layer of fabric forms a physical barrier to stop the clean top soil migrating into the compacted hardcore build up below.

A brick on edge detail brings the finish flower bed height up to allow further ease of access when maintaining the space.

Bailey approved flush joint with exposed aggregate on this brick slip fireplace in leighton buzzard 📍 🐾

When we started this fireplace it housed an unsightly back boiler. Installation of pre stressed concrete lintels allowed the opening to be greatly increased. A solid 10 inch x 10 inch repurposed oak beams fixed to the wall gives the impression it is load bearing however it is purely aestetic.

The log burner sits on indian sandstone harth and is now ready to be connected and complete this media wall.
