Warning! We're about to blow our own trumpet. We have so much good stuff going on this week we really have to shout about it: Two of our number are today flying out to Rio De Janeiro for the FIFA World Cup 2014 with ITV. Another is in Lisbon for tomorrow's UEFA Champions League final with Real Madrid C.F. facing Atlético de Madrid. And finally, we're also in Paris, at the Stade ROLAND-GARROS for the 2014 French Open.

After last year's staggering 1,283 lighting fixtures, 800 moving lights, 14 follow spots, 4 weeks of virtual programming, 4 weeks of live programming, 2 lighting designers, 4 lighting operators, 12 grandMA II light consoles and 24,500 DMX control channels. We are currently mentally preparing ourselves to watch this year's tech fest that is the Eurovision Song Contest. Watch it on BBC One tomorrow from 8pm.

After the success of last year's event, Shock Solutions spent a lovely sunny morning on a site visit in Battersea Park with the team from Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, helping plan this year's entertainment for RBC Race for the Kids, a 5k fun run taking place on 8 June 2014.
