hey there everyone, do you live in a brick house? ever considered painting it? if you do, make sure you follow the correct procedure as it is not a simple case of slapping on the paint. Also, if you're re-painting existing painted brick, you need follow the procedure.

so that said,

1. comprehensive clean down of brickwork.

2. if already painted brick, use a scraper to remove flaky paint. Also look for bubbling and discoloration, you will likely find hidden nasties.

3. Fix all imperfections.

4. Use a specialist primer for all bare brickwork. DO NOT PAINT OVER EXISTING PAINTED SURFACES.

5. Apply 2 coats of a quality masonary paint.
