A simple wellness routine in the garden

Sauna, cold plunge, then resistance swimming

It is easy enough to add these features to a space. The real challenge is making them feel as though they truly belong within the garden

When they are woven into thoughtful planting and considered landscaping, they become something more than individual features

The experience slows down, the connection to nature becomes stronger, and the garden starts to play a role in your physical and mental wellbeing throughout the year

As a studio, this is something we are deeply passionate about. We specialise in creating gardens for wellness in every sense, not just through the features themselves, but through the way a space feels, functions and connects you to the natural world

A beautiful day out at Serge Hill Gardens by , open for the on Sunday

A magical place to visit with some of the team, full of inspiration and quiet moments of observation

It was a welcome change of pace after a busy week, and a reminder of the restorative power gardens can have

So much to take away from a place like this, from the design details to the simple pleasure of being outside together

Curved walls like these take time, patience and a lot of care on site. 
Each stone is selected, positioned and adjusted by hand, slowly building up the form until the wall starts to feel as though it has always belonged there. 
There is something really satisfying about this kind of work. It is precise and physical, but also creative, with every small decision shaping the final curve. 
A beautiful bit of craftsmanship from our Red Team, and a feature that will only get better as the planting settles around it.

A garden designed to sit gently around a heritage property, while still creating a modern, usable space for everyday life

The new terrace creates a generous place to gather close to the house, with warm paving, natural stone walling and a louvred pergola giving the space structure and purpose

Beyond this, the garden loosens drawing you out towards the lawn, mature trees and softer edges of the site

There is a balance here between use and atmosphere, with practical spaces for everyday living held within planting that will continue to soften, shift and settle with the seasons

A new project started on site this week

This is one the design studio has been working on since the beginning of the year, and it’s always a lovely moment when a project moves from the studio to site

Set within a beautiful landscape, it has been a real pleasure to visit this garden at every stage

From the first meetings and early ideas, through to the first work now beginning on the ground

We feel very lucky to work in settings like this, with wonderfully collaborative clients and a brilliant team now bringing the design to life

We’re looking forward to watching it settle into its surroundings over the coming months and sharing more as it develops

A closer look at one of our recently completed gardens

Set within a beautiful rural landscape, this garden was designed to feel calm, naturalistic and connected to its surroundings

The scheme brings together beautifully crafted natural stone steps, generous planting, level changes and water feature, creating a garden that feels settled, considered and very much rooted in its setting

Soft planting helps the garden sit comfortably within the wider landscape, while the stonework and level changes give the space structure, movement and a quiet sense of permanence
