A few weeks ago a customer came to me with a acoustic guitar that had seen better days! Restoration was needed!
The bridge had pulled away from the body, the neck had a break in it (both causing unplayable action) and a knock had the wooden binding break away on the bottom right corner. To top it all off the electronics were in pieces.
First step was glueing that neck, which was a nice easy fix as none of the wood had splintered away. I then re-glued the bridge to the body, and sorted out the electronics.
Final job was the binding. As it was wood binding, I made some replacement binding in the workshop, stained it to match the colour and glued it around the damaged section.
Finally a clean, restring and setup, and the guitar is back to its former glory! Happy days!
(I forgot to get a photo of the repaired neck 😩)
Let me know if you’d like to hear it after it had been repaired! I took a video 🙂
