Had this Les Paul Goldtop in this week, it had bad fret buzz and even some dead areas on the neck.

It has been given a fret-level and polish, as well as a full setup including a deep clean and condition of the fretboard. It now looks and plays like a brand new guitar! Back to its former glory.

Hello! It’s been a while!

Just completed a full setup, and bridge replacement on this Jazzmaster. The customer has opted for a which is a newly released direct replacement for the factory bridge. It has a lot more sustain and tuning stability even with heavy vibrato use.

If anyone has an offset guitar and would like to know more, send them a message and the guys at Tuffset will happily explain the benefits 🎸

Exciting news everyone! This week I have moved into a new workshop space in my home town of Lewes! This means I will be able to take on more jobs at a time and with far more tools at my disposal.

Sorry for the quiet few months, it’s hard to take on work between workshops but we are back in action and accepting new jobs!

A restoration I’ve just completed for a customer. He found this Yamaha F-310 at the dump, and saved it!

As you can see it needed a lot of love after being neglected for years, but after sorting everything out that needed attention, this thing is playing beautifully and sounding wonderful! There’s a lot more years in it yet! 🤘

Another before / after for you! Nice to have a mandolin setup this week. I don’t get many but I always enjoy working on these. This one came in for a full setup and restring which included sorting out a serious bow in the neck!

For those that don’t know, as well as guitars and basses, I also work on mandolins, ukuleles, banjos, dulcimers and more!

Today’s job was a setup on this lovely 8-String shred machine!!

This thing wasn’t playing well, the tension from those heavy strings had taken its toll on the neck. After a truss rod adjustment it was much better, and now the intonation and action is correctly adjusted its now playing great.

As with all my setups it also had a full clean and polish including the frets, plus a clean of the electronics and some fresh NYXL strings!

Here’s a good before and after for you from this week! A lovely, but neglected Fender acoustic that needed an overhaul.

The bridge was peeling off and has now been re-glued. On top of that I fitted a new set of tuners and deep cleaned the neck (which took a very long time!), polished the frets and then fitted with fresh strings and given a full setup.

Back to its former glory and sounding gorgeous!
