Cheeky little cedar reduction and conifer hedge removal (which was checked for nesting birds in accordance to The Wildlife & Countryside Act) for our bluebird Tuesday! Even had time to show Ian the ropes on the stump grinder and have a couple of coffees and biscuits that the customer kindly gave us. Top day and onto the next 💪🏼

This burr tastic dead Horse Chestnut had obviously been under stress for years, maybe due to the very close new development next door, and had finally given up. Such a shame. But all the timber and brash were going to be used on the property and hopefully plenty of bowls out all those burrs.

It was course time for us today.
Our climbers were being assessed in using a chainsaw from rope and harness from Terry Crick at Apex Arb Traning.( much needed for the boss as he last did this particular course in 1996 🤦‍♂️)
The afternoon turned into us helping the other guys on the course who were very new to the industry.
Very useful to catch up with current legislation and best working practices. Also to review rescue and emergency procedures.
Well done to the boss, Simon and Luke you passed the course with no problems.

The stump removal took just as long as the tree removal.
